Wayne Wilson

As Chief Financial Officer, Wayne is the financial and analytical compass of the organization with responsibility for leadership over accounting, finance and tax. He is focused on working cross-functionally to provide the organization with robust analytical frameworks to drive effective decision making.

Before joining Radio Systems Corporation, Wayne was the Chief Financial Officer of Malibu Boats, Inc. (Nasdaq: MBUU), the world’s largest designer and manufacturer of recreational fiberglass powerboats. In his early years at Malibu, Wayne helped transform the business through the use of better data and processes, helping to expand market share 50% and nearly doubling margins. That success led to him leading the company through an initial public offering. Ultimately that success led to similar improvement stories across meaningful acquisitions that resulted in an over 20x revenue increase during his tenure. At Malibu, he was responsible for finance, accounting, tax, information technology and investor relations.

Wayne earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles. After graduation, Wayne began his career as an investment banker at Credit Suisse First Boston, where he covered a broad spectrum of industries and helped lead a diverse array of financings. After CSFB, Wayne helped start a middle market private equity firm, Black Canyon Capital, where he led the due diligence, negotiations and monitoring of debt and equity investments across industries.

Wayne and his wife, Julia, live in Knoxville, Tennessee, with their four children: Wayne, Rylan, Emily and Ellyn. When not working, Wayne can be found with his family or outside fishing, camping, playing golf or boating. When school is out, the Wilson’s decamp to Hilton Head Island and spend time on the beach.
